Hi, I'm Aj 👋
I draw little creatures, print them on stickers, coasters and keychains, and mail them out of my Toronto home. No factories, no middlemen, no AI. Just me, my tablet, and a cat who supervises quality control by sitting on the packing table and getting in the way.
ShySprout started as a sketchbook habit that got out of hand at local art markets. Now it is a tiny one-person studio where every order is drawn, printed, cut and packed by the same two paws that wrote this page.
(the cat does not have a quality control licence. she supervises anyway.)

How a little thing gets made
Sketch
Every design starts as a pencil doodle, usually with a cat on my lap.
Paint
Painted digitally by hand, on a very smudged screen.
Printed in-house on matte vinyl, beech wood, or slate in small batches.
Cut
Die-cut and finished one piece at a time. Slight variations are the charm.
Pack
Wrapped in recycled, plastic-free packaging and shipped in 3-5 days.
Doodle
A little original drawing tucked into every single parcel.
